Osho Laughter Meditation
Osho says that playfulness, singing, dancing & being non seriousness is my teaching. All the religions of the world has made religion as a serious affair that is why so called saints looks so gloomy, sad & without any juice in life. Osho says true religiousness is like a flowering in our life & seriousness is a sin. It is like a dance & with laughter it is crippled. There are few Zen monasteries where all the monks start their day with a laughter & end the day again with laughter. Laughing has also been suppressed by the society, if you start lauding without any reason, people around you will think maybe you have gone mad. Laughter has many health benefits as well like it improves your immune system, lowers blood pressure, lowers cholesterol levels & releases endorphins in the blood that triggers the feel good factor.
Osho says that we have forgotten to enjoy the small things of like children. This meditation will give you the opportunity to explore the childlike quality within us, help us to connect with the mother earth & experience the joyful dance.
This meditation can be done anytime during the day & is supported by the specific audio recording of OSHO Laughter Meditation music.
Osho Laughter Meditation
OSHO Laughter Meditation has 3 stages & it lasts for 60 minutes.
Below are the two different instructions.

Second one: This is from my experience of doing this meditation by myself for few months/days:
First Stage: 20 Minutes – Eyes Closed
Sitting: In this stage just start laughing without any reason. Let this laughter spread all over your body inside & outside. Feel this laughter coming from your very center. Let it spread in your arms, legs, stomach & head. Go madly into this laughter.
Do not control or think about others. Let this laughter flow, if it comes very loudly, express it or if it comes silently let it come silently & peacefully like a smile. One thing to remember is not to stop, just continue laughing either loudly or silently.
Second Stage: 20 Minutes – Eyes Closed
Lying Down: After the gong beat in this stage, lie down on the floor facing downward & connect with the mother earth. Feel as if you are a child & earth is the mother. Feel as if you are hugging your mother, spread yourself on the floor. Totally forget yourself in this feeling & get lost in it.
Third Stage: 20 Minutes – Eyes Closed
Standing: In this stage dance, let your body move in any direction, in anyway. Let it be any type of dance. Bring your totality into this dance & go crazy in it.
